Golden Agers

I had the pleasure of photographing some interesting looking golden agers during my recent photowalks...

Old people have such character, each wrinkle seems to tell a tale...

I stealthily photographed this man from afar because of the grimace on his face.  He gave a huge smile when I showed him his picture.

And here's a portrait of a lady who believes she's not beautiful and not worth being photographed...

"Old age is fifteen years older than I am." This quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes perfectly suits this octogenarian...

Sunday Brunch at KAVA

It was an awesome Sunday Brunch experience at KAVA, the all day dining restaurant at Fairfield by Marriott, Bangalore.

An amazing spread of food, accompanied by live music is just perfect for a lazy Sunday.

I had fun getting  my caricature done by a very talented artist.

Courtship ritual of Indian peafowl

Here's another story from the Karanji lake, Mysore. During my visit, I was able to witness two peacocks competing for the attention of a peahen.

This peacock made the first move by passively approaching the peahen...

The cool and composed attitude didn't seem to impress the peahen...

Then came the other peacock with a dazzling display of tail plumage, courtship antics and loud screeching. The peahen was impressed...

The Indian peacock has very flashy plumage, with a bright blue head and neck, but the Indian peahen is a drab, mottled brown in comparison. The male needs his bright feathers to attract a mate, and the female needs to be able to blend in with the bushes so that predators cannot see her while she is incubating her eggs.
